PROJECT 1000 is a social enterprise engaged in handcrafting home and lifestyle products made by rural women with the aim of enhancing their social and economical status. More importantly, all our products are indigenously designed and handcrafted in-house and in line with our belief in Product Perfection, Environment Protection, Reuse-Recycle, and Sustainability. Our weavers use upcycled 100% natural cotton fabric yarn which happens to be a combination of sustainable and functional fabric yarn. This yarn is obtained from our fabric knitting and processing unit which is certified by BCI & GORTEX, Higg Index, and Cotton USA.
We follow very high-end quality control procedures that meet global standards while manufacturing a range of articles such as floor rugs, placemats, dining mats, laptop jackets, iPad and mobile pouches, clutch baskets, and bread baskets, and more.
All products are handwoven by a community of rural women using wooden looms and crochet techniques. Zero use of mechanization renders an aesthetic charm to all our articles.
