Sabi D, is a brand spirited by the movement of sustainability. Sabi D, and thier team of designers who work together have interestingly brought a creative twist to the regular, casual “ gumcha “ cloth that’s commonly used as towels or materials for dhoti. Gumcha is a coarse thin material of cotton and is popular among the South East Asian community as an essential utility. Sabi D along with their team of designers have fascinatingly designed to fit in gumcha as a material for urban casual wear like shirts and dresses. As a part of their sustainable journey as designers, with the launch of their gumcha collection they’ve provided employment to the women around the villages from Maner and Nagva and have trained them in stitching. Sabi D aspires to contribute to the movement of sustainability by revolutionising design and fashion as they grow in their passion and expertise.
