Him Pine was born with the idea of opening markets for local Pine Needle Weaving Artisans. HimPine weavers are rural women of District Kangra Himachal Pradesh The pine needles cause forest fires after drying. These needles had no significant use (except mulching) to the local communities living in the vicinities of the forests. HimPine team was instrumental in converting this waste product into Handicraft. Our Master Trainer has trained over 5000 women in this Pine Needle Weaving craft since 2007 making products like baskets, bowls, trays, hats, table mats, coasters. We got Startup Hero Of The State Award in 2018 worth rupees 1Lakh we inspired from the basket that made from Date in Himachal in place of Date we use Pine Needle
