Ceramics requires patience. Every stage requires persistence The clay does not care if you are agitated or distracted. The clay is yours to mold and mold you have to. As the wheel rotates, you step into a meditative space. This is what Pottery is to me. I have been making documentary films for close to two decades and that has been a fantastic journey that still continues. Having made the move to Goa, where I live now and have my ceramic studio, the need to work with the hand amidst nature, taking it slow, to sync the breath with the movement of the wheel became more important. Thus, came Spinning Wheel Ceramics.
