Introducing Sooji Daarada Mane: Empowering Lambani Hand Embroidery
Sooji Daarada Mane is a renowned company that specializes in manufacturing exquisite Lambani hand embroidery products. From cotton sarees and silk sarees to dupattas, handbags, and cushion covers, our company offers a wide range of beautifully crafted items that showcase the artistry of the Lambani community.
Our journey began in 2017 when Nimala Shivakumar, the proprietor of Sooji Daarada Mane, turned her hobby of creating intricate embroidery work into a thriving business. With a single Lambani artisan, we started our operations, driven by a passion for preserving and promoting the rich heritage of the Lambani art form.
Over the years, Sooji Daarada Mane has experienced tremendous growth, and we are proud to have expanded our team to include 250 highly skilled Lambani artisans. These artisans are the backbone of our company, infusing each product with their expertise, creativity, and traditional techniques that have been passed down through generations.
At Sooji Daarada Mane, we are not just focused on creating beautiful products; we are also dedicated to uplifting the tribal Lambani community and their art. By collaborating with Lambani artisans, we provide them with sustainable employment opportunities, fair wages, and a platform to showcase their exceptional craftsmanship to the world.

Ilkal Cotton Lambani Embroidery Saree
Lambani embroidery uses a total of fourteen types of stitches, namely - Kilan, Vele, Bakkya, Maki, Suryakanti Maki, Kans, Tera Dora, Kaudi, Relo, Gadri, Bhuriya, Pote, Jollya and Nakra. Most of the stitches follow a geometric pattern like squares, circles, triangles, rectangles, diagonal and parallel lines. When many lines of different stitches are arrayed together, the fabric becomes a festive array of colours and designs on its surface!
