Within Toraja (a city in South Sulawesi, Indonesia), lies the cultural heritage of creating handwoven textiles by backstrap loom weaving, called Tenun. This pencil case has a piece of Tenun of the motif Parramba', weaved by the women of rural and indigenous communities in Toraja themselves. The base colours such as orange, red and green of the Parramba' motif are also obtained through natural materials.
