Within Toraja (a city in South Sulawesi, Indonesia), lies the cultural heritage of creating handwoven textiles by backstrap loom weaving, called Tenun. This coin case is a piece of Tenun of the motif Pa’borong-borong, weaved by the women of rural and indigenous communities in Toraja themselves. Although similar to the Parramba' motif at first glance, this motif takes a more simplistic approach – integrating the neutral colour of grey with the vibrance of red and yellow.
