Raghurajpur- the heritage crafts village in Odisha is 14 kms away from the Hindu pilgrimage town of Puri. Team Direct Create visited Raghurajpur in June 2017, for two months and documented all the crafts and cultural values of the region. We not just witnessed any ordinary village, it is the heart & soul of creativity. The place is known for its masters in Pattachitra painting. Pattachitra are of many types like Tassar cloth Pattachitra, Talapatra chitra or 'Talapatra khodai' and now with evolution chitrakars have started painting on different materials like coconut, beetel nuts, clay pots & bottles. In all these variation Talapatra Chitra drawn our special attention and we decided to broadcast this unique and intricate engraving on palm leaf, widely through our platform
