ROOH- The design concept

ROOH is a collection of exquisitely hand- painted Papier Maché, wooden utility products and Christmas decorations made by our skilled artisans from Kashmir. The collection showcases yet another dimension to Sasha’s application of traditional techniques which is anchored in contextualizing traditional craft in a contemporary and unique way. The collection comprises of two looks: one inspired by the simplicity found in nature and the other inspired by the minimalism of geometrical forms found in the motifs of Kashmir art. The idea is to capture the essence of the highly intricate craft already present in the various motifs by integrating Papier Maché into a collection of platters, decorative boxes, trays, pencil stands, chest of drawers, ring boxes, coaster sets, Christmas baubles and hangings. The whole collection offers a colour palette which is understated and cosy. There are three distinct colour ways. The Xmas look underpins a relaxed mix of Cream, Teal, Coral and metallic Gold. The shades of Blue range have a comparatively tranquil look and fits well into any space. The shades of Red, brings in a warm glow and is energizing and positive. While the Cream offers a sense of quiet and of history. Last but not the least; the Black and Copper is more about elegance, luxury, sophistication and signify statement pieces that celebrate a rich antique look. The trend is about decoration and adornment. It includes delicate, luxurious treasures for the home and personal use. It is about creating elegant and contemporary spaces, rooted in global aesthetics. The focus on sustainability in the utility items help users lead a more conscious lifestyle!
