Fungus is a separate kingdom of living things different from plants and animals. My concept revolves around the recreation of these visual aspects using the handloom fabric of Yemmiganur, India which is also rare and not many people are aware of. The garments are made out of towel, lungi (an Indian drape) and bandage fabrics which are handwoven using 100% cotton yarns and are very long-lasting. This is a sustainable collection which is very durable (the quality of the fabric is good enough to last for years) and consists of handwoven fabrics turned into classic silhouettes.
