This is an ancient board game that involves pieces categorised as Bagh (Tiger) and Bakri (Goat). This game involves strategy in which the tigers and goats try to outsmart each other. It’s a game that can be enjoyed by any age group. It is basically a hunting game played on a board where Baghs try to hunt as many Bakris as possible whereas Bakris try to trap all the tigers.
This game ends only when the tigers have captured all the goats or if the goats are successful in trapping all the tigers and hence, they are unable to move. Bagh Aur Bakri is supposed to be originated from a rural Nepalese game – Bagh Chal. This game is played in some other parts of the world too, however, as a variant and with different names.
