At a young age Mohammed Bilal Khatri learnt the traditional Craft of Bagh Print from his father Mr. Mohammed Yusuf Khatri and was born in the village of Bagh on 10th June 1987. Mohammed Bilal’s family has been working in the trade of traditional Bagh Print since 14th century. As Mohammed Bilal began early in life, he carries an experience of about 20 years of Bagh Hand Block Printing. he has been working since the age 8 and learning the complex nuances of the traditional techniques and vegetable dyes. He was awarded National Merit Awards by the Development Commissioner of Handicraft, Ministry of Textile, Govt. of India in the year 2011. Besides he has got Awards from International UNESCO (Award of Excellence) and Russian Diploma Awards from International Ethnomir “The Dialogue of Cultures- United World” Fund.
