Stitched with leather, they weighed as much as 2 kilos because of the thickness of the sole, which made them durable despite the extreme heat and mountainous terrain found in the state of Maharashtra.These chappals loose their original color and shine when they come in contact with the sunrays but the shine can be gained back with the application of oil.
